Thank you for your interest in Rent-A-Student! This is a great opportunity to support our students as they raise money to go on mission trips. You may “rent” students to do various work projects in exchange for a donation of any amount.
If you would like to “rent” a student, please read the following information and then fill out the attached request form to get started! After reviewing your request, we will match available students with your job. You will be contacted in advance to confirm the date and provide you with a list of students coming to your location to work.
Each block of work consists of 3 hours. You may choose to hire students for one or two shifts on a given day. If you choose to hire work for an entire day, please let us know if you plan to provide lunch, so students may plan accordingly. There is a one-hour lunch break, from Noon to 1:00 pm, for those students who are hired for an entire day of work.
There are six available dates to choose from when making your request. Though we understand one date in particular may work best for you, we ask that you please provide a second choice of dates. We will do our best to accommodate your first choice, but our ability to do so depends upon how many requests we receive for each day as well as how many students are available to work on that given day. Your flexibility in this area is greatly appreciated!
Some examples of work you may hire students to do include, but are not limited to:
- Raking leaves
- Cleaning out flower beds
- Cleaning gutters
- Washing windows
- Moving boxes
- Hauling garbage
- House Cleaning
ITEMS TO NOTE:
To be IRS compliant: You may deduct any donation that exceeds $5 per hour.
Never pay the student(s) directly: Payments may be made to Crossview Church by cash or check. Please drop off in black box near the office or send in the mail. Include “Rent-A-Student” in the memo line if you use a check. If you would like to pay online, please login to your realm account and select "Youth Mission - Income"
