Worship Ministry

God's Word exhorts us to make music and song an important component of how we worship God and His people have always done so. It helps us make biblical truth beautiful, and memorable. It helps us express our love for God, thanks to God, devotion to God, and dependence upon God.

Psalm 30:4

"Sing to the Lord, you his faithful ones, and praise his holy name."

Colossians 3:16

"Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

Psalm 150:3-6

"Praise him with the blast of a ram’s horn; praise him with harp and lyre. Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and flute. Praise him with resounding cymbals; praise him with clashing cymbals. Let everything that breathes praise the Lord. Hallelujah!"

Psalm 59:17

"To you, my strength, I sing praises, because God is my stronghold — my faithful God."

Sundays at Crossview

Our worship teams view themselves as servants, not performers, who help model worship and provide an opportunity for everyone to worship with elements that:

  • Exalt God
  • Honor Jesus by reminding us of His work and character
  • Are culturally relevant
  • Are emotionally honest

Our hope is that everyone attending our worship services will have a genuine encounter with the Living God as we sing of His glory and express our hearts to Him in accordance with the truths of His Word.

We also hope that everyone attending will view our time together as an opportunity for mutual encouragement within the community of faith as we spur one another on during corporate worship.

Ephesians 5:19 "... singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts."
