General Volunteer Needs

  • Children's Ministry

    • Sunday School Teacher or Helper
    • Nursery Worker
    • Child Check-In Desk - This position helps get kids checked in for Nursery and Sunday School. Duties include:  arriving 20 minutes ahead of service time to pray with the Children's Ministry team; remaining at the desk until after announcements to help any late comers; and heading to the Children's Wing after service to help kids match up to their parents.  Serving here is 1x a month, on the same Sunday and service time each month, for the ministry year.

    • Welcome Center - The Welcome Center people are some of the first points of contact for anyone who steps through Crossview's doors.  Volunteers are at the Welcome Center 20-30 minutes prior to each service and for 10-15 minutes following the service. Duties include: Greet people as they arrive for service; Answer questions posed by visitors; Direct or take visitors to areas of the church, as needed; Supply information about our church, our beliefs, our programs, and/or our special events; Make copies of CDs, as requested; File the master CD in the drawer. Welcome Center workers generally serve once a month and repeat their Sunday each month (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th). Spiritual Gifts best for this area: Apostleship, encouragement, faith, giving, hospitality
    • Greeters - The greeters are some of the first points of contact for anyone who steps through Crossview's doors.  Many people feel invisible and are looking for love and acceptance, so it is important for visitors and our regular attenders to feel welcomed and to see a friendly face.  There are 2 greeters posted just past the Welcome Center, but before the coat room.  This positioning allows people to be greeted, as well as directed when they don't know exactly where they're heading.  Greeters are asked to be here from 8:15 - 8:45am (first service) or 10:00 - 10:30am (2nd service).  Greeters  generally serve once a month and repeat their Sunday each month (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th).  Greeters have the privilege to show the love of Christ to those who walk through the doors of Crossview Church. Spiritual Gifts best for this area:  Apostleship, encouragement, faith, giving, hospitality
    • Ushers - Many people feel invisible and are looking for love and acceptance, so it is important for visitors and our regular attenders to feel welcomed and to see a friendly face.  Ushers arrive 30 minutes before service starts.  They greet people, help people find seating and assist people during service as needed.  They generally serve once a month and repeat their Sunday each month (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th).  Spiritual Gifts best for this area:  Apostleship, encouragement, faith, giving, hospitality
    • Crossroads Cafe - Cafe workers serve from 8am to 10:15am for the 1st service OR 10am to noon for the 2nd service.  Duties include: Being friendly with people who come into the cafe, making coffee, prepping hot water for tea and cold water to drink, setting out the creamer, sugar, and stir sticks, restocking supplies as needed, making note of things to be replenished, cleaning up and putting things away.  Workers generally serve once a month and repeat their Sunday each month (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th).  This spot is a great way to meet people and have great conversations with them.   • Worship Ministry

    Our Worship Ministry is made up of almost entirely volunteers. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm and Sunday mornings at 7:45am. All Worship and Tech volunteers scheduled for any given Sunday are asked to be present for the Thu and Sun rehearsals as well as both services (with exceptions for camera and light operators).

  • Cross-Cultural Ministry

    • Hmong and Spanish
